Situation
Blue Bus had buses, routes and a working service. What it did not have was a reason to be chosen.
The content showed the fleet and the features. That tells people what the company owns — not what their trip will feel like. Awareness, digital presence and sales all needed to move at once.
Task
Turn a transportation provider into a travel experience.
The target in one line: when someone in Egypt thinks about the North Coast, Dahab or Luxor, Blue Bus is how they get there. That meant changing what the brand talks about, who talks about it, and where the money goes.
Action
- A face for the brand — A young, curly haired traveller became the brand persona — built out through lifestyle shoots and a video series.
- Destinations, not vehicles — We stopped answering “what does the bus have” and started answering what travellers ask: where to go, what to do, why this trip.
- Two influencer campaigns — One group city-hopping between destinations. One solo traveller crossing Egypt in point-of-view style.
- TikTok as a discovery engine — Destination content per governorate: what to see, what it costs, how long it takes. One video hit nearly 5 million views.
- UGC for trust — A stranger showing their seat, their view and their trip beats any polished brand film.
- A voice and a slogan — A youthful tone of voice, and the line that now carries the brand: ما توقفش سفر | Always on the move.
- Branding on the ground — Bus stickers, branch facades, rollups and banners carried the new personality into the stations.
- A branded card game — Travel-themed cards turned dead time on the road into part of the experience.
- Full-funnel media buying — Awareness to expand reach, retargeting to bring interest back, conversion campaigns to drive bookings — optimised continuously.
Result
Twelve months later:
- Ticket sales up more than 30%
- Over 100 million video views and engagements
- Top three travel transportation brands in its category
- Among the most searched transport brands on Facebook
- Facebook past 562K, TikTok past 108K, Instagram past 30K
- Blue Bus now read as a travel brand, not a bus operator
Why it worked
Nobody buys a seat. They buy the weekend the seat makes possible.
One personality across persona, influencers, UGC, slogan and stickers — repeated until it was recognisable.
Content grew the audience. The paid funnel turned it into bookings. Either half alone would have produced a nice number and no sales.
