What are the influencer tiers?
Tiers group creators by follower count. Bigger is not always better. Smaller creators often have closer, more trusting audiences.
| Followers | Best for | Saudi price per post (estimate) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nano | 1K to 10K | Local trust, UGC style content, product seeding | About 750 to 3,000 SAR |
| Micro | 10K to 100K | Niche audiences, strong engagement, sales | About 3,000 to 15,000 SAR |
| Macro | 100K to 1M | Reach in a category, launches | About 15,000 to 75,000 SAR |
| Mega | 1M+ | Mass awareness, big moments like Ramadan | About 75,000 to 300,000+ SAR |
Follower ranges and Saudi prices are estimates from Influencer Marketing Hub (2026). Real quotes vary a lot by niche, platform and format.
How much do influencers charge in Egypt? (اسعار المشاهير)
There is no official price list for Egyptian influencers. The ranges below come from 2026 market guides by Brands N Creators and Valors.
| One Instagram Reel or TikTok video (EGP) | |
|---|---|
| Nano | EGP 500 to 2,000 |
| Micro | EGP 2,000 to 10,000 |
| Macro | EGP 10,000 to 50,000+ |
| Mega and celebrities | About $10,000 to $40,000+ (EGP 500,000 and up) |
In Saudi Arabia, one post from a micro creator usually costs SAR 2,500 to 15,000.
What pricing models are used in influencer marketing?
- Flat fee per post: the most common. A price per Reel, TikTok, Story set or Snap.
- Package: several posts across platforms for one fee, often cheaper per post.
- Usage rights: an extra fee to use the creator's video in your paid ads. Agree on period and platforms in writing.
- Gifting: product in exchange for content. Works with some nano creators, rarely with professionals.
- Commission or affiliate: a percentage per sale through a code or link. Good for ecommerce and apps.
- Hybrid: a lower fixed fee plus a commission.
Always agree on exclusivity. A creator who promotes your competitor next week weakens your campaign.
What are the rules in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt?
| Rule | Cost and validity | |
|---|---|---|
| Saudi Arabia | Individuals who earn from ads on social media need a Mawthooq license from the General Authority for Media Regulation (GAMR). Applicants must be 18+. Non Saudi creators must work through licensed agencies. | 15,000 SAR, valid 3 years, per the GAMR service page |
| UAE | Anyone posting paid ads on social media needs an Advertiser Permit from the UAE Media Council, plus a trade or freelance license for electronic media. Enforced from 1 February 2026. Visiting creators apply through a licensed UAE agency. | Free for the first 3 years; valid 1 year and renewable; visitor permit 3 months |
| Egypt | We found no separate influencer license. Product rules still apply: since March 2025, health, medical, food and competition ads need approvals from the relevant authority (SCMR Decision No. 9 of 2025). | Depends on product category |
Before you book in KSA or the UAE, ask for the license or permit number. UAE creators must show it on their accounts. UAE fines for content violations reach AED 1 million (Middle East Briefing, 2026).
How do you choose the right influencers?
- Audience location: ask for screenshots of audience country and city. A Cairo brand gains little from a mostly Gulf audience.
- Engagement quality: read the comments. Real questions beat emojis.
- Past brand work: too many ads in a row lowers trust.
- Content fit: would their followers believe them using your product?
- Licensing: Mawthooq in KSA, Advertiser Permit in the UAE.
- Past results: ask for reach, views and link clicks from earlier campaigns.
How we approach it at OneKind
For Blue Bus, we ran two influencer campaigns inside a larger travel brand plan, next to UGC and destination content on TikTok. Influencers showed the journey, not the bus. Across the full plan, ticket sales rose more than 30% in 12 months.
For Battireo, a car battery delivery brand, we took a different path. We created a brand character and ran character led personalized offers, which passed 1M engagements. Sometimes your own character is the best influencer.
- Set one goal per campaign: awareness, sales or app installs.
- Mix tiers: a few macro creators for reach, many micro and nano creators for trust.
- Write a short brief, not a script. Let creators speak in their own voice.
- Secure usage rights and run the best videos as ads.
- Track with codes, links and app attribution, then rebook only the creators who sold.
