Situation
Mostafa came to us to get more clients for his studio, Coconut Interior Designs Studio. His audience was small, around 6,000 followers.
He had a lot going for him: architecture, interior design, urban thinking and a real love for Egyptian heritage. But many talents with no clear story made it hard for people to see what made him different from any other architect.
Task
The brief was leads for the studio. After our first meeting we pitched a bigger idea: build Mostafa himself into a brand, and let that brand bring in the work.
The goal became clear in one line: make Mostafa the person Egypt thinks of when it pictures its old buildings restored and its cities done right.
Action
- One clear identity — We pulled his different talents into one position: a creative visionary who reimagines Egypt's urban spaces while keeping their heritage.
- A strategy per platform — We set up every relevant platform and gave each one its own formats, tone and goal, instead of posting the same video everywhere.
- A signature video style — Every video followed the same shape: spot the architectural problem, explain the vision, reveal the transformation. People could recognise a Mostafa video in seconds.
- Testing to find the winner — We tested educational videos, design commentary and opinions on common mistakes. Makeover videos of real buildings clearly won, so we doubled down.
- Cairo Makeover — We built the winning format into a campaign that digitally restored historic buildings and areas, showing how heritage and development can live together.
- PR beyond social — We secured podcasts, magazine interviews, media coverage including Al Jazeera, and speaking slots at events, panels and TEDx talks.
- Brand to business — We linked his growing profile back to Coconut Interior Designs Studio so attention turned into clients and projects.
Result
Within one year:
- Main platform grew from about 6,000 to more than 400,000 followers
- Close to 900,000 followers across all platforms and more than 100 million video views
- New projects and clients in Egypt, the UAE, Qatar and other markets
- Coconut Interior Designs Studio grew to almost 10,000 followers and gained new clients
- Government entities, ministers and governorates brought him in as a consultant
- Worked on preserving and restoring the Tiring Building and the wider Attaba area
- Named an ambassador for the Ministry of Culture, and recognised in the Al Rawi competition
- Collaborations with brands such as Etisalat, plus TEDx talks, panels and events
Why it worked
We sold the person, not the studio. People follow people, and the studio grew because the person did.
A repeatable video structure made every post instantly recognisable, which is what turns views into followers.
PR gave the online fame weight. Once media and officials took him seriously, digital ideas became real projects.
